Safeguarding Officer

Millthorpe School is seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer who will have day to day responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the school. The role will include provision of advice and support for members of staff on child welfare, safeguarding and child protection matters, and liaison with relevant agencies.

You will have experience of managing safeguarding within a school, including working and communicating effectively with relevant agencies, and implementing and encouraging good safeguarding practice. You will have knowledge of legislation and guidance on safeguarding and child protection, effective communication skills and excellent record keeping skills. Your experience will be complemented by a level 3 designated safeguarding lead qualification/training.
